User Review - 10/10 by brett sgreat movie- make you really think and decide for yourself! highly recommend!!!
User Review - 8/10 by Evan Mit's a slower movie that, in its own way, all makes sense. The world is dirty and everything is drugs, abuse and killing but it all works. there isn't really a question of "why does this work?" because it's blends nicely together. Manson gives a good performance and all in all its a decent watch, could if ended a bit better or with more explaining but I enjoyed it.
User Review - 8/10 by Ben RThis is the most indie-indie film I have seen in a long time. I did not like it at first, it felt cheap and the audio seemed quiet and mumbling. But then, it got me, just a little and my interest was piqued by the unashamed brutality and brusqueness, and then I enjoyed it through to the end.
User Review - 6/10 by Jordan HGritty and philosophical, the film boasts some strong performances and ideas, but the narrative does get loose and muddy at times.
User Review - 6/10 by Siobhan SI got lost. I really wanted to like it as the visual style had an air of True Detective about it. You know when not much is said, but in the silence but EVERYTHING is said. I think this must have been a film made for the film makers enjoyment and not the audience.
User Review - 6/10 by Pablo GThis film over plays it's hand. While the acting is superb, the dialogue is very deliberate, and the asymmetrical story telling captivates you at first; by the end of the first act you find yourself asking "Is every scene just going to be an artistic excuse for one masturbatory monologue after another" and the answer is yes. The film feels like a Tarantino story in a Rob Zombie scenario. Every meth-raddled white trash-hodunk character in this film has the lexicon and poetic cadence of Christoph Waltz. And while the artistic drive of this film is enough to hook you in at the beginning, it requires a very unique suspension of disbelief to sit through scene after scene of self-aggrandizing god complexes. The plot is very deconstructed from the beginning and requires undivided attention to really appreciate, though it pays off if you are willing to work for it. Choosing to combine the broken linear structures of both flash backs and time jumps, the film can be quite jarring. The cinematography in this film stands as one of it's strengths. The warm color splashes with hand held close ups really conveys the intimacy that this film represents. Without question, this film's main focus is it's cast. While the film is advertised as a Marilyn Manson film, he is actually in very little of the film. Though his scenes are very intense and well done. Really, the film is carried by Niko Nicotera and Sam Quartin as the protagonists and Mark Boone Jr. as the main antagonist. Each scene with any of those 4 actors plays almost as a demo reel for future work.
User Review - 2/10 by Riff JWhile the thought was nice, the movie really just has you waiting for something riveting to happen, and before you know it, its over. Its a good plot wasted on poor writing. Not to mention that Manson's role as Pope, as good as it was, is barely in the film.
User Review - 2/10 by Andrew MAwful. This director tries to go for the jigsaw-puzzle plot style of Tarantino, but fails miserably. Not only is it unnecessarily confusing, the writing was bombastic and forced. I'd hoped to see more of Manson, which may have redeemed the movie a bit, but after pausing it only to find that I had another painful half hour left of the movie, I couldn't finish it. Yes, it's that bad.
User Review - 2/10 by B RI feel cheated , swindled and at a loss for words . What a heap of steaming dung. Crime drama my arse. Nico who? Light weight embarrassing small potatoes Yay look at us everybody .... We got Marilyn Manson... He 's so creepy and spooky .... This alone does not make a movie. Over wrought repetative precocious garbage
