| User ReviewMovie KPart 1 is better. Part 2 continues the end of 1 whereby Andy Lau bump into Chingmy Yau and his son. She said she been loyal to him. Paul Chun bribe the commissioner for the promotion to get the big district with the money backing of the area gangsters. Sharla Cheung is willing to accept Chingmy. Just when he is going to marry her, the new law state all married person can only have one spouse. Sharla visit Chingmy and saw the jade necklace. She feels bad for been the third party. Chingmy decide to leave Andy. After knowing about the bribe, Andy chose another route. He give money and gift to the commissioner's wife who is an avid gambler and want her to pass a document for him to read. In 1959 Paul got the promotion, Andy got a new and even high post of Chief of Sergeant Majors whereby all detectives will report to him. Andy propose new ideas to all. One of the drug boss who walk out during Paul meeting with gangsters is with Andy. He will get the best district and the whole of HK only left with 4 drug boss. Now all the gang boss are trying to favour Andy. Paul has decrease in authority with the gang bosses. A ruthless criminal is caught and send to Andy station. He is on mission to kill him. Sharla visit the station and shield Andy. He want to ask who send him but shot dead by a baddie detective. Next day he come to ask Andy for help because his family are missing. They were send to Macau for holiday by Andy to make him panic and reveal. His gang destroy the gang boss wharf. Paul kills him for safety sake. In the 60s, gangster reach their peak. Andy is one of the VIPs in HK and personal assets skyrocketed. He open a trading company. Ng continues to run errand for Andy. One funny part have him giving money to the anti-corruption unit. In 1972, a new commissioner takes over. He is going to remove vice, gambling and drugs problems. Andy want all of these activities to cease for 10 days. Whoever operates will be caught. He also ask newspaper to publish the increasing number of criminals caught during these times. Citizens are critising the police. Commissioner question Andy which he assure peace will restore in 2 weeks if the crimes are tackle slowly. A new anti-corruption unit is been set up. Aaron Kwok square off with Andy. Chingmy has return for about a year, work hard to send the son to college. Andy finds her and Aaron turns up. He is the son and swear to bring Andy to justice. She slap Aaron and fainted. The new anti-corruption unit is ICAC. Commissioner promote Andy to Inspector and he is assign to a new committee, his present duties will be handle by Paul and another top sergeant. Every district will have 3 sergeant majors instead of 1. So more money and internal turmoil is bound to occur. Andy wants to retire, knowing the good times is up. He is going to migrate and so is Ng. But his 2 men refuse. Paul is attack and wanted for revenge for the death of the wharf boss. He blames it upon Andy. He held a retirement celebration. He warn Paul about the return of the wharf boss brother. Chingmy is going to die and Andy go visit her. Boarding the car, they were attacked. Ng hold Andy and walk to hospital. He call his men at the party. Chingmy want to have a title and take back the jade necklace. She give it to Aaron and passed away. The thugs chase to the hospital and fires at the duo. Andy block one shot for Aaron. His men arrive. The duo run up to the roof. Andy ask Aaron to escape and he shot the last thug. Paul reach the scene and want to kill him. His men all came up and reverse the situation. Andy rain punches on Paul. Aaron appear and says he will charge Paul since Andy isn't a cop anymore. In 1974, ICAC begin rounding all corrupted officers. Andy migrated to Canada. |
