In his will, the late Jérôme Armandy expressed the wish to have all the surviving members of his family summoned to the Château de l'Etang in Provence. His servant Firmin asks Montmartre artist Claude to organize the reunion, find the sum of 17 million francs that is hidden there (he was told this as a child by Armandy), and divide the amount among the different heirs.
