User ReviewMichael HThis film started just as I was getting ready for bed & ended with nine of us glued to the telly. Brilliantly entertaining with lots of cheeky little snippets that maybe only the older viewer will appreciate. We laughed & laughed & laughed. Please give us a sequel with the same gem of a cast.
User ReviewAnthony TI loved it! Outside of the occasional poor use of green screen and slow motion, the film was great from start to finish! It was a beautiful and slightly better spiritual successor to Arachnoquake. That movie was great too! I need to see more SyFy original films from 2015 because maybe 8 years after they started doing this that they finally nailed the concept! Wow, I can't believe I've seen 2 or 3 SyFy original films that I've given such high ratings too. Okay, they really are hit and miss, mostly miss though!
User ReviewJason BA class performance from legendary actor Steve Guttenberg. Stunning graphics...and a really believable story line. Can't wait for the sequel
User ReviewD MOver-sized lava-spewing tarantulas rise out of the depths of the Santa Monica volcanoes only to wreak havoc all over Los Angeles. Steve Guttenberg (Police Academy) stars as a washed-up 80s actor who battles the creatures. Also from Police Academy are Leslie Easterbrook, Marion Ramsey and Michael Winslow! Patrick Renna (Sandlot) and Nia Peoples (lookin' hot!) star as well. There's a funny Sharknado reference. Also, there's a sequel!
User ReviewJosh PUnder the shadow of Sharknado, Lavalantula tries to seem as ridiculous but doesn't quite get it. Still, it has a cult cast, cameos, and many fun Hollywood references. Not a astounding monster movie, but it knows how to fill its time.
User ReviewGerard BSharknado was a total wankoff but surprisingly this spinoff delivers in spades. Completely braindead and self-deprecating but totally self aware; the only way this could get better if Guttenberg fully committed to the bit and played himself.
User ReviewErich SWorth a watch. It brings together 4 peeps from Police Academy (which makes me want to watch those movies now)
User ReviewOlivier BUn excellent film pour arrêter de penser.
User Reviewtab 0Still better than Pixels, if only in the regard that it has some modicum of respect for its target audience.
User ReviewEvan MSteve Gutenberg has not aged well. This is a horrible movie.
