Two villages in the plain of Thessaly in Greece are at loggerheads because none of them wants a unit of biological cleaning to be installed in its premises but lobbies for it to be installed in the village opposite. When a famous journalist whose origins were from Thessaly dies and his funeral is to be attended by the Minister responsible for Public Works and his team from Athens, the leaders of the two small communities and their people organize the villagers in order to approach the Minister and influence his decision through various means not all of them honest. But the Minister has his own designs which are contrary to the interests of both villages and have to do with the dictates of a multinational company.Nevertheless young people from both villages devise a plan which baffles the machinations of the Minister and his devious secretary and produces an outcome that is beneficial for the interests of both rural communities which are finally reconcilled while the rapacious agents of the central government appear as the losers of the whole process.
