Night. Rain splatters the city. A young couple out for a drive take a shortcut through a deserted alley and makes a gruesome discovery: a girl, savagely slashed and battered, lies in a pool of her own blood. As the girl loses consciousness, she utters one word of explanation - 'Kolobos'. Flash back to 36 hours earlier. Down-on-her-luck artist Kyra Mitchell has just landed a dream job - a 3-month gig as a lab rat in an anthropology-related experimental film. In exchange, she gets free food and lodging in a fully-furnished mountain resort. Her new roommates, wise-cracking Tom, struggling actress Erica, college drop-out Gary and fast-food engineer Tina know little about Kyra's past. She allows them to see her artwork - dark, disturbing pieces - but tells them nothing about her inspiration - a faceless man who haunts her in nightmares and waking dreams. Still, happiness and camaraderie prevail - until night falls. On her way to grab a soda in the kitchen, Tina walks into a deadly booby trap. When her horrified roommates try to get help, the house locks down, trapping them inside. The surviving roommates race against time to find a way out, all the while being stalked by a faceless killer who Kyra fears may have been more than just a figment of her imagination.

User ReviewCassandra MA young artist Kyra lays semi-conscious in a hospital bed.She was brought savagely slashed and battered, uttering one word 'Kolobos'.36 hours later Kyra, enticed by a free vacation offer, participates in an experimental film.Unfortunately she and the rest of the cast soon discover that they are trapped in a lodge with sealed doors and windows and no means of escape. One by one, they encounter a vicious killer with a mutilated face."Kolobos" is a pretty good experimental slasher which reminds me a little bit another unsettling horror film "My Little Eye".The acting by totally unknown cast is decent and the killings are very gory and sadistic. The film is heavily influenced by Italian giallos, especially the works of Dario Argento and this is another reason to see it.The musical score by William Kidd clearly copies the main theme by Goblin from "Suspiria".The death scenes are gruesome including nasty teeth-smashing straight from "Deep Red" and a horrific eyeball puncture ala "Evil Dead Trap".The film offers some surreal scenes and enough grisly surprises to satisfy fans of low-budget horror.Give it a chance.
User ReviewJake Bi bloody love it. blatantly the inspiration for every reality tv show. you can see where Saw got there idea from and My Little Eye. some well funny lines in this aswell, very very bloody, the face getting crushed against the sink was top balls.
User ReviewMartin Slow budget gore flick with some good "dispatches" and twists with the camera showing us whats going on "from inside one of the characters heads" at times... and yup "big brother house rigged with traps" sums it up excellently. quality!!
User ReviewChris AGood story that had potential to be terrifying. Really underrated. Bad acting though.
User ReviewMatthew KA really well crafted slasher film, that is really underrated (well, seems to be completely unheard of...). Good story, actings decent enough and its nearly original. That makes it a classic in the slasher field. Plus I still find parts of it creepy. Well worth an hour and a half of your time. Just don't expect anything too deep :)
User ReviewChessie RMy goodness. Well my 6th grade core teacher is in this film and it's quite a hoot to see someone who taught you about english run around and get killed. This movie was so bad it was fantastic.
User ReviewJoe SI thought this movie was ok. Nothing special. We watched it on Halloween and a friend of mine went home and had nightmares and couldn't sleep. The next day we all laughed at him and it was the funniest thing. So I am a little bias for this movie after that.
