Leave your thoughts about Kickboxer: Retaliation.
Lyles' Movie FilesJeffrey LylesIsn't trying to change the action movie game or shake up the martial arts sub-genre. It's just a simple, easy to digest film with a slew of incredible fight scenes.
RogerEbert.comSimon AbramsThe exceptionally fun martial arts beat-em-up Kickboxer: Retaliation is a very dumb, and very satisfying throwback to a simpler time when American action films were as predictable as they were formulaic.
Punch Drunk CriticsTravis HopsonThe bar has been raised forKickboxer: Retaliation, this time directed by the previous film's writer/producer, Dimitri Logothetis, and it shatters the bar with a leaping Van Damme spin kick
IGNWitney SeiboldWhile hardly high cinema, Kickboxer: Retaliation is an enjoyable fight epic with some awesome fighting, great cameos, and hugely impressive stunts.
Houston ChronicleCary DarlingUnlike the last movie, which stumbled when outside the ring, [the director] doesn't bog things down with too much plot about fraternal bonding, love interests, or anything that requires an emotion more complicated than punching someone's lights outs.
The Hollywood ReporterJohn DeForeA pulpy and fun fight flick that is better in some respects than it needs to be, Retaliation may not do for Moussi what the original Kickboxer did for Van Damme, but it won't send fans home disappointed.
CinapseEd TravisAs it progresses, scene after scene in Retaliation are infused with this crazy little thing called "fun", and Moussi feels much more at home than he ever did in the first movie.
StarburstRyan PollardThis film feels like watching a series of fight sequences that are loosely connected by a wafer thin plot.
Los Angeles TimesGary GoldsteinDirector Dimitri Logothetis, again scripting with his Kickboxer: Vengeance co-writer James McGrath, barrels through the chockablock action with requisite energy. But dialogue and performances (including Mike Tyson as Kurt's prison mate), are often laughably subpar.
User Reviewnicole sWe just saw the movie at the World Premier and I was amazed. In truth I am not a huge Kickboxer or martial arts movie fan. But there is a little of everything. Comedy, drama, sensuality and amazing fight scenes. You can feel there pain. Loved the actions. Great director and actors.
