| User ReviewW. WThe grueling difficulty of survival in a Nazi concentration camp. A gritty drama of idealism and sacrifice. |
| User Reviewshelly bIf you thought Pontecorvo's "Battle of Algiers" was powerful and provocative, strap in, because this will rock you just the same, if not more. The holocaust may seem like a tired subject, but a film of this caliber makes it feel just as relevant and pressing as ever. |
| User ReviewByron Bthis movie is soo good! i would say its the best foreign film ever...see how brutal the nazi were even to non jews...i strongly suggest this movie!!! |

They are not as badly treated as the Jews, but it's still very brutal, and when Edith are appointed Kapò, she becomes hated by her fellow prisoners, who supported her in the beginning. Kapò is a typical anti-war movie of its time. Although I would have expected |
