But shortly after her return, Julia must face up to unprecedented crises within the family business: her uncle is burned to death in an arson attack on the company, and products made at the Gramont plant mysteriously poison several people...To get through the scandal, Julia decides to take the helm of the family empire, while conducting her own investigation, with the aid of the police, and in the hope of re-establishing the Gramont reputation. It's when her daughter is suddenly accused of murder that Julia begins to wonder: could it be a curse that has fallen on her loved-ones, or are all these events linked to some kind of terrible vengeance, provoked by her own return to France? Ready to do anything to prove her daughter's innocence, Julia has no other choice but to delve into a painful past that she had tried to flee for so many years, even if it means becoming a suspect herself - Will she manage to find out who's behind the vengeance and stop the Gramont clan from disappearing?
