ReelTalk Movie ReviewsDonald J. LevitShaky close-ups of turkey-on-rolls, stubbly chins, liver spots, red noses and the filmmakers new bobbed do draw easy chuckles but lead nowhere.
FilmJerk.comEdward HavensA must see for all sides of the political spectrum
Movie ViewsRyan CracknellPelosi's willingness to open up and look into her own spot in the campaign frenzy makes this meta-documentary important the media and those who consume it.
Village VoiceJ. HobermanAlthough largely devoid of dramatic interest, Journeys With George does convincingly document the horror of life within the campaign "bubble."
Flick FilosopherMaryAnn JohansonA depressing confirmation of everything those of us who don't object to the description "unelected" have suspected all along: George W. Bush is an incurious, uncharismatic, overgrown frat boy with a mean streak a mile wide.
User ReviewCharles BGreat to be involved in campaigns, I helped in 2004 election.
User ReviewMichael CFollowing a campaign trail, it was very interesting. Bush is a character no doubt.
User ReviewlinzExcellent portrayal of the future president. The cute journalist in purple glasses is Nancy Pelosi's daughter, and if Dubya can charm her, then he can charm anyone. I'm sure she didn't vote for him, as he says in the movie, but he made his personality apparent. People call him a liar, but I think he's one of the most honest politicians, and I feel kind of like I know him after watching this.
User ReviewAmmon SThis movie is great because you see an entirely different Bush than you do now. He's funny and you realize that he is a lot better interpersonally than he is in public.
User ReviewFrank HPretty good - it shows how Bush is a real goofball but it also gives him some humanity. Its criticisms of political campaigns are spot-on.
