The Legion of Doom are attempting to use space satellites to freeze the Earth's oceans, creating more land mass at the coastal regions for which they own. The JLA quickly arrive and the two teams engage in a classic battle of wills. This clash leads to Lex Luthor becoming trapped in a glacier of ice. In the 31st century Legion of Superheroes trainees; Dawnstar and Karate Kid are tasked with minding the Legion's museum. Their tour leads them to Lex Luthor's memorial; his body still encased in a large chuck of ice discovered in the 29th century. Karate Kid Inadvertently frees Luthor who secretly explores the museum himself, and soon uncovers the shrine to his greatest nemesis Superman. There he learns of the Kent's involvement in Kal-El's discovery. Luthor following the voices of Dawnstar and Karate Kid takes possession of an hourglass which holds the Time Trapper within. Whoever holds the hourglass controls this entity who is the master of time. Luthor returns to the 21st century, but not without the young Legionaries close behind. The Legion of Doom regroups with a new plan in place; they will prevent the Kent's from ever raising Kal-El, and with no Superman the JLA will cease to exist as well. The JLA arrive but Luthor's efforts prove to be successful, and the Time Trapper causes the time paradoxes to vanish from this reality. Now it's up to Dawnstar and Karate Kid to stop Luthor's plans for worldwide dominance. They find a loophole freeing the Time Trapper from Luthor's control, but now nothing is preventing him from wrecking chaos throughout reality. The JLA return, but well their power combined with Dawnstar and Karate Kid prove to be enough to stop this new menace, or has our time just run out?

ForbesScott MendelsonI wouldn't want every DCAU film to be like Trapped In Time. But it's nice to have one like it, one that I don't have to hide from my kids.
User ReviewAndré DIt's the old retro JLA savin the day. It feels like a extended episode of the Super Friends or the The Super Powers Team show. And it's not just for nostalgia sake, it was really well made (well except for the obvious time travel plot holes that you'd expect), even if it was pretty short. It's a damn shame that this DTV that's directed towards kids trumps Justice League: War by miles. It tells you how much DC is crapping on their characters with the new 52.
User ReviewJohn YA pretty decent Justice League movie, especially since it was a Target exclusive.
User ReviewKevin RI would have liked to have seen more Justice League members in action, but it was still cool!
User ReviewDarwin Kthrowback 2 superfriends '70s cartoons, that pales next 2 the more "high brow" justice league flicks 2day. animation & rendering r simplistic & voice acting is weak. the introduction of legionaires & story is only thing that saves this.
User ReviewAndy GA mysterious being known as the Time Trapper arises, and a sinister plan led by Lex Luthor sends the Legion of Doom back in time to eliminate Superman, Wonder Woman and Batman before they become super heroes. For Aquaman, Flash and Cyborg, along with teen super heroes Karate Kid and Dawnstar, the stakes have never been higher, the rescue mission never deadlier. So join the fight for the future as the Justice League confronts its ultimate challenge...the threat of having never existed! starring the voices of: Deidrich Bader, Laura Bailey, Dante Basco, Corey Burton, Grey DeLisle and Jack De Sena. directed by Giancarlo Volpe.
User ReviewSteve Dits made for kids but never talks down to them and has its moments for other fans.
User ReviewWestleigh QThis plays more like a pilot for a new Saturday morning cartoon show rather than meeting the standard of previous animated releases. For what it is, it is not horrible, but it is not something I would recommend either.
User ReviewDann MThe Justice League faces a challenge unlike any before in JLA Adventures: Trapped in Time. In the far distant future two Justice League candidates, Dawnstar and Karate Kid, accidentally release a frozen Lex Luthor; who in turn frees a dangerous villain known as the Time Trapper and travels back in time with a plan to prevent Superman from growing up on Earth and forming the Justice League. The film makes good use of the Legion and League characters, including a lot of fan favorites (Wonder Woman, Cyborg, Bizarro, Toy Maker, etc.). Also, the voice work is well-done and the art is really crisp and vibrant. However, the time travel plot is pretty standard, following the usual tropes and clichés. Still, JLA Adventures: Trapped in Time is an action-packed and entertaining superhero adventure.
User ReviewKevin MWell, first of all, this is a movie aimed to kids so it should be judged as such and not be compared to the other DC animated movies. Once I said that I have to admit that, even though it has many flaws and way too many coincidences, I really enjoyed this movie as what it is: a kids' movie. Yes, I would've prefered more time with the Trinity since I thought they were the main characters instead of Karate Kid and Dawnstar, but it was still a fun movie with a good animation. So, it wasn't perfect but wasn't awful either, it was entertained and enjoyable but mostly directed to kids.
