| User Reviewjay nCagney brings his usual electricity to the story of Jimmy Corrigan, the head of a sketchy heir-tracing firm - who'll manufacture a relative to get the inheritance if a real one can't be found. Jimmy's losing his gal Joan (a lovely Bette Davis) to a more polished rival (Alan Dinehart), so it takes all his cunning to wriggle though the rules and get her back. Great dialogue in Bertram Millhauser's script, snappy direction from Cutiz, and fun supporting performances from Allen Jenkins, Alice White and Arthur Hohl. |
