User ReviewVulcan Srare combination of Hong Kong gangster film and black comedy, nicely done
User ReviewGarwin Sno wonder this is the cult of HK! the camera was great
User ReviewEd$ HA very different kind of gangster boss, with a twisted ending
User ReviewJasmine CVähän erilainen triadelokuva, oisko tämä Dante Lamin vastine Young and Dangerousille.
User ReviewJon BAn absolutely strange film which I expected to be a serious triad drama, but turned out to be a wacky and lamenting triad comedy. Also features Anthony Wong in a fantastic supporting role as Gwan Gung. Lots of bra-less Sandra Ng, which was alright. And lots of naked Tony Leung Ka-fai ass, which I could have done without. I mean, didn't we all see The Lover?
User ReviewGreg WDated and awkward triad black comedy. Golden Chicken was funnier, and it's a far cry from Heat Team. The few action sequences are usually well directed, thanks to Lam. A lot of the humor is cultural, and it's incredibly dry. Still, there are laughs to be had and even though the script doesn't play to Lam's strengths, he does a decent job. So, even when the attempts at parody are bizarre and sad, at least, for the most part, it looks good. Too long and melodramatic. For die-hard triad, Lam, Leung and/or Ng fans.
