The New York TimesNicole HerringtonFifty years later, this is one of many additions to the Kennedy catalog. Although it’s more suited for the small screen, it is a worthy entry nonetheless.
Village VoiceAlan ScherstuhlThe film offers a solid précis, but it's a curious fact that a well-made doc like this is still only about half as informative or detailed as a long magazine article on the same subject might be.
Los Angeles TimesAnnlee EllingsonThe information comes fast from talking heads who, let's face it, can get a bit dry. Lose focus, and you risk missing the significance of what's being conveyed.
User ReviewJerome PAn excellent documentary that examines aspects too often overlooked in JFK's white house, his daring foreign policy. The film shows that not only was Kennedy able to learn from his mistakes, but was looking to transform our relationship to the rest of the world, only to enrage the military industrial complex. That he sought to disengage from Vietnam is undeniable. Now, this film presents evidence of not only his eagerness for a dialogue with the Soviet Union, but also Castro's Cuba.
