The story of charismatic Jewel Thief pulling off an incredible heist at Vienna's most renown Jewellery Store. And Kay Francis! And William Powell! If that means something to you, this is a must-see. |
| User ReviewJenn MIt was cute. Its not as comedic as I had expected but it was still well done. I did quite enjoy the magic cigarettes lol. Never would have thought that a movie from the 30`s would be showing people getting high. This was quite a clever ploy though in order for the robber to escape unscathed.....getting the policeman and houseguests high. |

| User Reviewcody fPre-code film about a debonair Jewel Robber (Powell of course) who robs jewelry stores and calms everyone down by giving them his special ciggerettes (Tickets to you Tim) and getting them high. Powell charms the pants off a Baroness and they fall in love. Not the best of Powell's films, but he so fucking charming and enjoyable to watch on screen it a must see if you are a Powell fan(Keith). The dope smoking is also enjoyable and Powell and Francis have a great repoir. |
