Leave your thoughts about I Love You, Alice B. Toklas!.
Chicago Sun-TimesRoger EbertThis first half of the film is the best, as Sellers gradually bends the middle-class into non-class.
Ozus' World Movie ReviewsDennis SchwartzThe caricatures of hippies at best will earn cheap laughs.
The SpectatorPenelope HoustonThis dimly predictable comedy tries to have its hashish cake and eat it several times over.
New York TimesVincent CanbyBy the end of it I was feeling a certain amount of resentment at having been had, along with Alice B. Toklas, whose name, apparently, is to become an automatic laugh, like smog and girdle.
DVDJournal.comMark BourneIt's conventional and derivative and middlebrow enough to fall back on broad stereotypes of what audiences in Omaha thought of the 'hippie movement.'
User ReviewChuck ZPeter Sellers is an L.A. lawyer. His hippie girlfriend gives him special brownies and hilarity ensues! A must-see!
User ReviewJennifer MA very underrated Peter Sellers film. On the surface, I Love You, Alice. B Toklas! makes fun of flower power culture, but if you look closely, you'll see that the film is equally making fun of material mainstream culture too. Jo Van Fleet, as the Jewish mother of Peter Seller's character, steals the movie. My favorite scene involves his mother and father and Alice B. Toklas brownies.
User ReviewStarrySparklessuch a good movie...opposites attracting(which is only good for movies i think...)..the pot scene is pretty funny,
User ReviewAndre-The-Midget-GiantOne of my favorite Sellers flicks.A story of a man in his midlife crisis, trying to find meaning."Hey!Don't eat those ma.Those are Alice B. Toklas brownies!"
User ReviewRoger MI have always found this a funny film with some great lines. It is the first film to feature(acid) drug taking and was filmed in 1967 the actual swinging sixties; It's historic; five stars from me!
