Movie Reviews

Total Film - 8/10 by Philip KempJustin Kerrigan's first feature since 1999's Human Traffic is based on his own relationship with his father; no wonder it's so harrowing and deeply felt.
Time Out - 8/10 by Dave CalhounModest in means but rich in warmth, it's an eminently likeable film and all credit to Kerrigan for finding a new way of exploring the age-old story of dads and their boys.
ViewLondon - 6/10 by Matthew TurnerI Know You Know has a rough-edged charm that works surprisingly well, despite the occasional flaw. Worth seeing, especially for the performances by Carlyle and Fuller.
Sky Cinema - 6/10 by Eileen ReslenKerrigan successfully captures a captivating father-son bond in an understated, but perfectly executed indie flick that never attempts to be more than the sum of its parts.
Empire Magazine - 6/10 by Ross BennettIt's a deeply personal tale defined by a sturdy turn from newcomer Fuller and Carlyle's compellingly unpredictable performance.
Guardian - 6/10 by Xan BrooksI'm not even sure it quite survives a calamitous opening half in which the script toils to prop up Charlie's increasingly ornate flights of fancy. But it is certainly ambitious and heartfelt, dappled with moments of ragged glory.
London Evening Standard - 6/10 by Derek MalcolmKerrigan never quite gets the tone right and the film suffers from what looks like a lack of finance in certain areas.
Radio Times - 4/10 by Jamie RussellIntrigues but doesn't satisfy despite thoughtful performances from Carlyle and Fuller.
Daily Telegraph (UK) - 4/10 by Tim RobeyFundamentally harmless, though it rather tramples on its own period authenticity -- why all the Steven Soderbergh-esque funk-scored heist sequences? You may be nonplussed.
User Review - 10/10 by Joan-of ACharlie: " Its OK to be afraid son, as long as you can do it. you need to be a tough cookie. the story is all about father and son relationship. Charlie played by Robert Carlyle. He was an Undercover Agent, always on an important mission. He is hot-tempered yet he is fiercely protective of his son Jamie. Finally, Jamie slowly understands that his father had a different reality. love the way he impersonate his father. he hero-worship his father. like father like son. Jamie knows every pretty little dirty things that his father knows. He was fascinated by his father's espionage work. Jamie's acting is different. he didn't act like a kid here he act like a man. outstanding performance for you kid! good job Justin Kerrigan.. bravo!
