After six years she is sent to London, where her name is changed, but her miserable life of servitude continues. Her passport is taken and she is told that her father will die if she goes to the authorities. Fortunately she meets a sympathetic person who seems to offer her the hope of escape and reunion with Bah,back in Sudan. | User ReviewJacob DI am thrilled that modern slavery was brought to light through this movie. I know of many Sri Lankans, Pakistani's and Indians who are enslaved in Dubai, Saudi Arabia and the countries that advocate slavery. They believe that their God approves slavery. Some I know who were almost raped, but jumped out the balcony and escaped. This is so real, I hope all of us will fight it and eradicate it from this earth! It was heart wrenching! |

User ReviewKishore VThis is a magnificent and touching movie inspired by the life of Mende Nazer. It proves that human beings still have to evolve to the level where no person is superior to another.
User ReviewCatrina WMoving film sad fact to know that slavery still exists in this way, in what we deem to be a modern world.
User ReviewDimitris KPresent day slavery. "Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere." -- Marti Luther King Jr The only blemish in this docudrama - almost the entire cast speak in BBC accent.
User ReviewSimon FA good film... worth watching! Plot: 4* Acting: 4* Cinematography: 4*
