User ReviewFiona RMix of doco and drama, nice insight into the social history of Sydney and of Australian film making.
User ReviewGareth JSat in on an open discussion with Alec Morgan at a screening of Hunt Angels. Some really interesting stories are woven into the making of this film, it is entertaining and a great interpretation of Australia's early film industry.
User ReviewJesse OA good documentary about early Australian filmmakers, but not a great one. Failed to give me the same inspired feeling that is usually guaranteed when I watch a movie about filmmaking, but it was an interesting story. I think it would have worked better as a straight narrative. Earned a star for its visual effects - the world of Sydney and Victoria in the 30s-50s was created with animated still photographs in a very clever way.
