Cinema em CenaPablo VillaçaLemmon está ótimo como sempre, e Lisi é belíssima, mas o fraco roteiro e a ridícula conclusão comprometem o filme irremediavelmente.
VarietyVariety StaffFinesse and desire aren't enough to overcome the fact that Axelrod's script doesn't make the most of its potentially antic situations.
User ReviewFrancesco DBrilliant, elegant, an amazing ironic comedy about the single and the "femme fatal", Jack Lemmon is fantastic and Virna Lisi wonderfull. I would like to post a quote of the movie so we can understand the soul of this movie: "Stanley Ford: Oh Harold, I think you've been brainwashed. You're missing a very important point: marriage is not a basic fact of nature, it's an invention. It's like the infield fly rule; it exists only because the women say so and like idiots we just go following right along. Harold Lampson: Uh...no, no, no, uh, Stan, I don't know what I would do without Edna. She...she...she plans the meals, sends my shirts to the laundry... Stanley Ford: [interrupting] Harold, you're making another basic common masculine mistake: you're confusing love and laundry." One a moment have you meet "the woman/man" that can you change your life? Let's go to rent this movie and you can reply this question.
User ReviewDavid Rvery sexist...but it doesn't bother me and somehow makes me like it more.
User ReviewRita Wthis is such a good movie. Jack Lemmon plays a cartoonist and play acting his cartoon he plans to put in the newspaper. He is invited to a bachelor party and in the cake comes out this beautiful woman, Verna Lisi, and he just happens to be in the seat of the bachelor, who by the way broke up with the real bride to be, and jack lemmon being so drunk, well he ends up marrying Verna Lisi who does not speak English, only Italian. his butler only works for single men, and the story goes on with laughter, and love. GREAT MOVIE!!!
