Honor Flight is a feature-length documentary that chronicles a community coming together to honor living World War II veterans, one last time. The film follows a devoted team of Midwest volunteers as they race against the clock to send every local WWII veteran to the Washington, D.C. memorials built in their honor. The more they do, the more the cause takes on a life of its own. The film captures Honor Flight from the point of view of the volunteers and veterans, who share their war and life stories along the way. The trip itself is a profound event, filled with surprises and acts of appreciation from a grateful nation. The all-but-forgotten veterans are heroes once again. The vets, volunteers and even complete strangers are often moved to tears by the power of the experience. Throughout the day, veterans begin to share their war stories - sometimes for the first time ever. After the trip, many vets say it was one of the greatest days of their lives. For many, Honor Flight is their first visit to Washington, D.C., and the very last trip they'll ever take. The film is meant to inspire viewers to reflect on the freedom and opportunity they have been gifted. Honor Flight prompts viewers to recognize the Greatest Generation, not just by saying "thank you," but by striving to lead lives worthy of their legacy.

Common Sense Media - 8/10 by Tracy MooreMoving docu about WWII veterans is emotionally intense.
Los Angeles Times - 8/10 by Gary GoldsteinThey all share their amazing war stories and life memories with great humility and warmth.
Village Voice - 7/10 by Nick PinkertonGreatest-generation stoicism meets gushing contemporary sentiment in Honor Flight.
The Hollywood Reporter - 6/10 by John DeForeFew would fail to be touched by these stories, or by the sight of these men having generations of kids and grandkids gather to celebrate their accomplishment.
The New York Times - 5/10 by Neil GenzlingerThe film might have made a decent end-of-broadcast segment on a newscast. But inflated to feature length and devoid of nuance or fresh insights, it just seems self-congratulatory - aren't we great for having done this for these old guys? - and exploitive.
User Review - 10/10 by Lindsey JThis movie is a wonderful reminder of what the Greatest Generation did, and shows an amazing cause. It's worth every minute. I hope to show it to every child I can, to teach them what their grandparents and great grandparents did and how we can give those heroes an experience of a lifetime.
User Review - 10/10 by Dawn TThis movie is not only a well-produced film, but it causes one to reflect and inspires one to ACT. Please share this with everyone you know!
User Review - 10/10 by Lauren AThere needs to be more than 5 stars for documentaries like this. I saw it tonight, and sure wish it was playing longer. I hope they can produce enough DVDs for the state of Wisconsin (and everyone else too).
User Review - 10/10 by Logan WIf you want to put yourself in the shoes of a WWII Veteran, then this is a must see.
