After an expensive renovation of his stud, the stud ran into financial difficulties and the farm was threatened with loss, because Mayor Ludwig Hackl asked for his loan back earlier than agreed. Johann is up to his neck, but he doesn't want to be helped. To this day, he has not forgiven his son for turning his back on the common veterinary practice. Hansi tries to support the father anyway, but the malicious Hackl lets him down coldly: He wants to finish off his former best friend Johann - because of an old feud. Hackl's son Florian is also not happy about the return of his old friend, because his great love Stefanie has recently only had eyes for Hansi. Nevertheless, he supports his comrade, who as the organizer of an extreme mountain run has his hands full. The spectacular sporting event is an important event for the tourism region and the mountain rescue service, whose boss Florian has to ensure safety. Because of a surprisingly approaching snow storm, the mega-event threatens to become a deadly trap for the runners. Since the press and television have already arrived, Mayor Hackl, who wants to make the event a success, gives the go-ahead against all common sense. Hansi and Florian have to work together to prevent a disaster.
