' You're all going ...even if its in an urn" she tells them. But there's 'only sixty dollars in the bank,' and its not easy when you 'don't really like the music' and all can do is 'worry about how to get your socks on.' But with the help of Billie ' I've never danced in my life ' and young hip hoppers from Street Dance New Zealand they begin to believe. Along the way we hear how these extraordinary women contributed to New Zealand as we know it. I took the husband and friends and we laughed cried and laughed some more, what an amazing group they are and the fabulous Billie who gives everything to inspire and them the opportunity to travel and perform. This movie is for every age, and inspires young people to appreciate their grandparents, and to make you realise that age is no barrier. It's very basic, there's nothing particularly inventive about the way it's made and it's probably better suited to the smaller screen. All that aside though, it's nice hearing these old folks back stories and watching them do their thing, zimmer frames 'n all. |
