User Review - 6/10 by Steve E3 stars may seem like a lot for this film, but I really enjoyed it, and it has some good special FX, apart from the Lizard creature that is obviously a man in a suit. The Storm at sea capsizing the boat is one of the best and most realistic storm I've ever seen, made me wonder whether it was an actual storm, maybe it was, or maybe I missed a detail that would have revealed the fake set, they sure fooled me there if it was fake. The direction is quite sharp, it isn't stiff nor amateur, with some fine acting for this genre, and the characters are interesting. The sets of Atlantis are great. The music score is classic, and the location of Atlantis is on a Rocky Island with tall steep rock walls separated by a sandy beach that is very enchanting. And the scenes at sea are real and well photographed. And the story is simple but effective and well directed, a good vs evil classic story. It is a bit slow at times, but otherwise a fun Sword and Sandals movie.

Do not be fooled by the title. it's actually about men who have been captured by Uranus loving nazis from Alantis. "The blood of Uranus can never be destroyed."-High Priest

User Review - 2/10 by Tim SHercules and the Captive Women isn't one of the top tier Hercules movies and/or media out there, I'm sure (I haven't seen a whole lot of it, so I'm going on instinct alone). The one is pretty awful. I'm sure at one time the movie was great for little kids when it was released, especially on TV, but it doesn't hold up at all and there are lots of elements that make it bad. It's also unintentionally funny at times, which made it a prime candidate for Mystery Science Theater 3000. The story itself is pretty boring for the most part. So boring that I can barely remember it, which is a way that I gauge how good or bad something is. The MST3K version is really the only version of this movie worth watching if you just have to watch it. At least you'll get some laughs out of it.
