| User ReviewChristine HTender and tragic this film follows the progressive mental illness of Sabine, sister of french actress Sandrine Bonnaire who produced and directed the documentary. From childhood, Sabine was beautiful and unique- displaying talent for art and playing piano but also very remote and obscure . By the age of 40, she is overweight, slumped and drooling. The film explores what caused the disintegration of this vibrant and captivating young women in a beautiful and touching way. The film peaks when Sandrine plays a video for Sabine (with Sabine's blessing) of a trip that she and Sabine took to New York on the concord. As the aging Sabine watches the film of herself- smiling, laughing and looking gorgeous- her face suddenly crumbles and she breaks into tears. When Sandrine asks why she is crying and upset, Sabine says "I'm crying tears of joy". |
