Entertainment WeeklyIra RobbinsThe music (including Ticket to Ride) is wonderful and the European scenery an eyeful, but this is ultimately a movie starring the Beatles rather than a Beatles movie, and there’s a big difference.
EmpireDavid ParkinsonThe music, even after a quarter of a century, is the film's redemption.
Village VoiceAndrew SarrisHelp! is basically five sight gags played over and over in unimaginative variations. Halfway through, the film literally runs out of steam and the second half of Help! (especially the dismally dull Bahamas scenes) can only be tolerated by the most rabid of Beatles addicts.
The New York TimesBosley CrowtherThe boys themselves are exuberant and uninhibited in their own genial way. They just become awfully redundant and—dare I say it?—dull.
User ReviewJLA66821solid film, great music, fun story, lighthearted tone, very nice, very fun.
User ReviewHabibiehakim8.5/10 First let me just say that i was not a big fan of A Hard Day's Night the movie, i think overall the movie was ok and the song is the one that help the most on A Hard Day's Night, all the performances including all The Beatles was it is what it is, and the story is just not that great, Help! is a big improvement, big big improvement, i think all the performances including The Beatles was way better and i can even say they were great, i like the song way better, and that doesn't mean i don't like A Hard Day's Night album, i just feel Help! in terms of album is better, the movie was in color now!, and that was one of the big point too because how they use the color in this movie is just great, it's really making the movie beautiful in terms of a look, but basically everything in Help! is way better than A Hard Day's Night except one, the story, which is the same main problem i have with A Hard Day's Night, the differences is that i did think Help! story is better but it's still not the best, i'm pretty sure there is still quite a lot of better story for Help! than this, but again in terms of an experience i have better time, at in the end Help! is still have a lot of good thing than the bad thing and that's making it Help! still a really good movie.
User ReviewMattyIce34Their best movie AND album. Paul the best Beatle. “Help!” a top 3 song. Don’t @ me.
