Full Plot Details

Three friends -Französin (Lilo Baur), Franzose (Marco Calamandrei) and Leonie (Lisa Vicari)- living on a hot world due to the rise of temperatures head to the mountains, on the way the will encounter more than one obstacle. The first one will arrive on an oil station where they will meet an hostile men who will try to steal something of their car while searching for supplies on the inside of the oil station. Once gone, in the middle of the way they will be get trapped on the road and while part of the team search for oil on a car one of them will be abducted by a group of others men. Then, the real problems will just have started.

It is an apocalyptic film in which nature and the universe have fundamentally turned against the human race who struggle to survive in the interstices where the sun's rays do not reach. Dark, brutal, and existential, Hell doesn't quite reach the heights to which it aims, but it comes damn close in its depiction of humanity turned against itself. When light itself becomes a source of death, then what does the darkness hold???
User Review - 8/10 by Vincent PThe plot this time around is that the sun has gone 10 degrees above it's core temperature which in turn scorches the Earth, and the world falls into anarchy, as survivors looks for a safe haven. The film starts with one couple who we don't see again, then we join our main protagonists Phillip, Marie and Marie's little sister Leonie, along the way they pick up Tom. The latter two get kidnapped in the Hills Have Eyes and Wrong Turn fashion and it's up to Marie to overcome both the heat and kidnappers to rescue her sister. This addition to the apocalypse genre is short, sharp and sweet. The acting is brilliant as the actors do a good job of making you care about pretty much stock characters. The look of the film is just the right side of bright and gritty. I thoroughly enjoyed this film it was very gripping my only gripes were that the characters were pretty much stock that out with the sun being scorched it wasn't particularly original. The open ending means a sequel is possible with these same characters, while I would be receptive to a Hollywood remake, but then again this film is good enough that it doesn't need one. I personally liked it, only you can decide if you will.

User Review - 6/10 by Terry BHell is a story about a post apocalyptic world, where the sun has became the worst enemy of mankind, making earth uninhabitable with it's intense flare. Survivors attempt to find a rumored place where there is water, but before they can reach it, real survival has just began. The film was interesting, it had an inventive premise, the first half of the film looked extremely realistic, not just with the atmosphere and set, but with the human interactions. But then it soon fell into the pitfall of cliche horror film, much like frontiers.
User Review - 6/10 by Daniel PAn interesting concept with a successful first half that sadly falls back on staples of too many horror films; escapes from captors, chases in woods, and rites-of-passage. The film remains visually interesting and is well enough acted to make it worth a watch.
