| User ReviewMichael LWhat Jesus of Montreal does for Montreal, this film does for Winnipeg sort of. In the dead of winter, two poverty-stricken bums, one aboriginal one mentally disturbed, try to return a stolen heater to get money. In effect, it is a quest tale as they journey across a frozen Winnipeg which is both frosty in temperature and in social reception. |

Not minimalist enough to be artistically interesting, and not interesting enough to be good entertainment, it plays like a downbeat promotional video for cold and snowy downtown Winnipeg made by manic-depressives. |
