eFilmCritic.comBrian OrndorfHeart of an Empire, as mawkish as it might sound, is a sweetly clear blue sky piece of filmmaking, and encapsulates a rare breath of gee-whiz, irony-and-politic-free perspective that could do the world some good.
User ReviewJoe GWHY ISN'T THIS MOVIE ON DVD IN THE US YET? A heart wrenching film that looks past the social cliche of being a geek and sees these fanboys and fangirls not as losers, but as heroes. Sounds ridiculous, but once you watch it you may understand. This documentary is similar to King of Kong in this regard. I would say it's better, however. I defy you to watch the whole thing and not get manly tears at least once during the run time. It can't be done.
User ReviewDean MWow this one sure was a fantastic surprise. Such a great doco, bot because of production values anything, but rather because it's such a quirky, funny and also very sad story all rolled into one. I highly recommend.
User ReviewAlyse CA great doco showing how dedicated Star Wars fans can be. It's sobering to see the sick kids, and the effects on the families involved. It highlights just how unfair and random life can be. But also how people can be brought together for the greater good, just because of a common love of a movie. Definately worth a look.
