Ozus' World Movie ReviewsDennis SchwartzToo many things don't work, especially the contrived twist ending at the morgue.
Washington PostGary ArnoldHe Knows You're Alone inspires sustained, high-decibel shrieking when Mastroianni cuts loose, but it ingratiates itself in a more congenial way by being so mischievosly movie-crazy and by swift strokes of characterization and funny romatic by play.
Movie MetropolisJohn J. Puccio...we never get to know the victims well enough to allow any real suspense to develop about their deaths. If she's young and pretty, expect her to die.
Reel Film ReviewsDavid Nusair...a lesser slasher that would hardly be worth mentioning were it not for Tom Hanks' cameo...
User ReviewMark WAn absolute masterpiece........Another favorite of mine.
User ReviewAdam KAwesome 80's slasher. How have I not seen this until now?
User ReviewLee AA classic slasher from the golden age. 8/10
User ReviewRuben Aso strange...i keep swearing i reviewed this... this was one of my first early 80's slasher viewings. well to start i feel it would work better as a psychological thriller than a slasher. the opening at the theater was FANTASTIC! the rest of the film is pretty good. even the ending (not in the script--mind you) in which you can tell that the chain will continue again. the score and a couple scenes are too reminiscent of the Carpenter classic Halloween. i think this is looked down upon due to the lack of blood. but i say who cares! i like gore--especially 80's gore but this didnt need it. it would've given this a cheap sleeze feel. i think this was well made and acted. and its characters are actually cared for. i felt kinda .____. when they started to die off.
User ReviewDaphnie HWhen I was a teen, this movie scared me more than I'd like 2 admit!
User ReviewJesse FYes it's just like "Halloween", so what??!! "He Knows You're Alone is a slick and eerie slasher film.
