Leave your thoughts about Halloween II.
ESplatterLucius GoreThe film is best if watched back-to-back with the first.
TheFilmFile.comDustin PutmanA more than solid if admittedly inferior continuation.
New York TimesJanet MaslinThere's some variety to the crimes, as there is to the characters, and an audience is likely to do more screaming at suspenseful moments than at scary ones. The gore, while very explicit and gruesome, won't make you feel as if you're watching major surgery. The direction and camera work are quite competent, and the actors don't look like amateurs.

Dread CentralHeather WixsonIt's a rather solid sequel that carries on the legacy of its predecessor well and always delivered the scares for me as a kid.
FEARnetScott WeinbergAny childhood favorite that is still a good deal of fun today is a movie worthy of some note.
VarietyVariety StaffThis uninspired version amounts to lukewarm sloppy seconds in comparison to the original film that made director John Carpenter a hot property.

Flickering MythShaun MunroFar bloodier and sillier than its predecessor, Halloween II is a warmed-over retread of Carpenter's classic original.
VoxAja RomanoAs films go, however, Halloween 2 isn't very good.
