A dock workers strike a merchant ship outside an Arab port. After the strange death of Captain-Nicolas, the commander of the ship is taken over by the Commander-in-chief of Nafpliotis. However, the extreme authoritarianism that distinguishes him, as well as the intense situations created by his state, excite the sailors to stand up against him, to arrest him, and then to prosecute him....
