After a card game Southerner Owen Pentecost finds himself the owner of a Denver hotel. Involved with two women - one who came with the hotel, and one newly arrived from the East to open a dress shop - he then has to make even more fundamental choices when, with the start of the Civil War, he becomes one of a small minority in a strongly Unionist town.... | User ReviewAshley HGreat Day in the Morning is an excellent film. It is about Owen Pentecost finds himself the owner of a Denver hotel after a card game. Virginia Mayo and Robert Stack give fantastic performances. The screenplay is good but a little slow in places. Jacques Tourneur did a great job directing this movie. I enjoyed watching this motion picture because of the adventure and drama. Great Day in the morning is a must see. |
