His mother was in a graveyard making out with her fiancé when a vampire sprung from the grave, kills her fiancé, rapes her, and turns her into a vampire. James will span the globe until he finds the vampire responsible for his mother?s demise. ?We must take that parasite out of you.? John Hayes, director of Garden of the Dead, Baby Rosemary, Mama?s Dirty Girls, Fandango, and Sweet Trash, delivers Vampire from the Grave. The storyline for this picture has potential and reminded me a little of the Blade premise. The action scenes are surprisingly intense and the gore was well presented; however, the film is a bit methodical and boring at times. ?My mother told me that I was not like other children.? I received this movie as a Christmas gift due to my love affair with the horror genre. I was disappointed with the acting in this film and the pace of the picture. There are a few hot chicks in the movie and the kill scenes are splendid. This is only worth watching if nothing else is on television and you enjoy throwback horror movies. ?Death is also very beautiful.? Grade: C- |
