Under the RadarRachel VenutiInstead of a fun, playful investigation into the enduring allure of wearing black, we get an unfocussed mishmash of overgrown Goths with no discernible beginning, middle, or end-Goth Soup, if you will.
User ReviewDavid CIt starts off very boring and uninteresting, but as you learn more about the goths I think you start to grow to like the movie. Especially when later the music is "music box" versions of The Cure's Just Like Heaven and Siouxsie & the Banshees' Spellbound. In the end, I loved the goths and I really liked this doc.
User ReviewChristopher SBland documentary isn't much more than a shallow examination of the goth subculture, focusing on a handful of over-the-hill goths who aren't nearly as interesting as they think they are. It may sound interesting in concept, but there's not much here to recommend.
User ReviewDavid MJust not enough controversy to really make this documentary work. If for nothing else it was good for a few laughs.
User ReviewKate Coh yes let's capitalize on our own sense of self-importance... sorry but as a counter-culture "goth" really isn't that interesting or compelling...
