User ReviewRichard BIf you have dry eyes at the end of this film you are probably in a coma. One of the best films ever made.
User ReviewDave BExcellent, heart-warming story of a man who dedicates his life to teaching. Things start out hard, but he ends up the most beloved teacher in an English private school. This movie is a great commentary on the value of a life dedicated to serving others. I just finished watching this wonderful story again. It is definitely one of the best movies of all time, and one of my absolute top favorites! 5 stars! If there were more stars to award, I would enthusiastically do so!
User ReviewK DWhat a charming movie, full of characters you can't help but fall in love with. I love any film that seems to span the decades and follow a character and what a story and 'life' for Mr. Chips. Terrific performance by Robert Donat, and it isn't so surprising that he won an oscar for it. Greer Garson was angelic in her short but powerful presence in the film. I certainly hope to find "the one" like her. Very nice film, and it got my eyes watery a few times.
