User ReviewSenor CW/ Good Morning..and Goodbye! Russ Meyer's is really starting to hit a good stride w/ a formula that would later be optimized in Vixen; that of sex heavy dysfunction. A couple films removed from his black & white trilogy Meyer's ups the nudity giving the viewer a voyeur soap opera that would make day time television blush beet. I had seen a good chunk of his films & really shouldn't have let this one slip by for so long. It's a sexy whip w/ the venom of a cobra. A great cast too w/ regular Stuart Lancaster who's always fucking great, Alaina Capri who just can't get no sexual satisfaction, Haji w/ no dialog who's wild woman hot & even Megan Timothy who I had dismissed as an actress after seeing in the abysmal (but fun) The Mighty Gorga is good . Not talked about much in the Meyer's catalog it's not to be over looked
User ReviewLiam URuss Meyer back in the saddle of sexploitation, this film is focused on a man whose wife that is feed up with her husband's lack of libido and how she freely goes out and gets it from whereever she can. The film is humorous and honest one of the better nudie films to come out of the bosom ridden mind of Meyer.
User ReviewKris CMeyer stopped caring about plot and just went wherever he felt like with the story. After all that, he inserted Haji as some sort of sorceress type creature. Yeah ok then... Anyway, it's typical Meyer the rest of the way through. Gotta love that dialoge!
User ReviewBryan NRuss Meyer, renowned for his provocative films, disappoints with this bland and lifeless adult soap opera.
User ReviewEric B"Good Morning...and Goodbye" just isn't fun like most Russ Meyer films. The women are such relentless shrews that one can hardly bear their company. The plot is also thin, and really is about nothing beyond who's screwing who. "Good Morning" lacks the droll "patriotic" quality found in many Meyer projects, though its polished musical score (imagine a '60s detective show) may be the most commendable element. It does have the overlong, narrated introduction and another of those peculiar, disconnected "goddesses" whom Meyer is so fond of inserting. This time, she manages to become a story element, eventually serving as inspiration for the downtrodden male lead (Stuart Lancaster, yet again). The cast's other jigglers are brunette Alaina Capri (who also appeared in "Common Law Cabin") and blond Karen Ciral. Lots of embarrassing, dated lingo in the script: "cats," "my old man," "swinging," "digging," "heavy," "making the scene" and more. And of course, every other line is a leering double-entendre. "You read the profit-and-loss statement like a vulture and you play the stock market like a fox," snarls Capri to the impotent Lancaster. "But you store your nuts away like a squirrel." This may be the only film I've seen besides "Eastern Promises" where a male character has a nude fight scene. Otherwise, Flixster's above synopsis tells you all you need to know.
