User ReviewMarcus EThis movie is a wonderful surprise. It is one of the best - if not the very best Hollywood dog movies. Fleishman's writing is real south - not phony . The actors are superb. It's a perfect confluence of writing and acting. The story is touching but not overly tragic or melodramatic. The film was obviously shot on location somewhere in the southern swamps. This flick is an unknown jewel.

User ReviewJo SIf you are a fan of the basenji breed, this is a must see!
User ReviewScott RMelancholy and simple, but touching and memorable. Felt like it was made for TV, but it was good enough for the big screen.
