Antagony & EcstasyTim BraytonSome of the all-time best effects work in the annals of giant monster movies.
User ReviewTheRantingAnchor RAn unbelievably dark tone, a subplot involving different groups killing each other for Godzilla's cells, awesome battles, and horrifying monster designs make up the majority of Godzilla's best outing. One of my favorite movies ever.
User ReviewJuan TIncorporates Godzilla into modern day issues. Good effects make this movie good to introduce people to Godzilla.
User ReviewAndrue CThis one has my favorite Godzilla "enemy" monster
User ReviewCooper CI find this movie underrated. The action is great. The new monster is cool and it still keeps the same feel as its proceeder. I've always liked this one and I think Biollante should've returned in the later sequels.
User ReviewRobert MIt's a very fun Godzilla movie that I would recommend to any fan of monsters!
User ReviewDave SOne of the best and most creative of the godzilla series.
User ReviewAlan Torres Dwyer BThe best entry in the series only topped by the original, and followed by Godzilla vs Mechagodzilla (1974). Great action, great monsters, great plot and heart-breaking drama. A must watch for any sci-fi fan!
User ReviewCoty AA good follow-up to the bad HESEI series start, this movie redeems 1985's sad story with an interesting plot with foreign terrorists, a tragic story, and one of the coolest/scariest looking monsters he ever fought. The special effects are well-done for the period holding up well even over time, definitely worth a look.
User ReviewJamess KAs a Godzilla film, people think people in horrible monster costumes just gone to far with horrible effects. But on this Godzilla film, this one has been taken to a whole new level. With the great effects and monster fighting, but this movie doesn't revolve just around Godzilla, it revolves around how man has created monster and is using it for ultimate power that can turn bad. Particularly, this is a great film to watch for horror, monster, science-fiction fans and to all who enjoy movies. From the minute I saw this movie on the American VHS tape, I knew then that this Godzilla film has to be the best out of them all since the 1954/1956 Japanese/American Godzilla that was released and had been very successful. The reason why? Because Godzilla the titan of terror was new to all who first watch this Amazing original. When Godzilla vs Biollante was released it wasn't like any of the others that were out. During the 70's Godzilla had gone down hill because of the low acting and not enough scares like the original. When Return of Godzilla and Godzilla vs Biollante was released that changed the way of Godzilla back into the scary horrific monster that it should be. But though Godzilla vs Biollante didn't make a chain reaction in Japan, many fans of America want to see this movie and want it as well. As for the Godzilla vs Biollante as a film, it is a great movie for all people to watch, including kids, teens adults and the first original fans of Godzilla. This has the best of the effects out of all the Godzilla movies out, and is still a major Godzilla movie even to to this day.
