Likewise, Padelis' friend, Pipis, the flirtatious owner of the neighbourhood's haberdashery, is always short on cash, as he, too, is passionate about football, dreaming of winning the pools. In their group, Thimios, the outspoken owner of the local dairy shop, is the voice of reason; however, things will take an unexpected turn when he decides to follow Padelis and Pipis' advice and loses big in horse racing. Now, their long-term sweethearts are the end of their tether. Will the three friends see the error of their ways in time, and score a goal in love?
