In Seville, Spain, exists the ancient tradition of the "seises", these being boys in folkloric costumes who perform a ritual dance in the Cathedral to honor God. A former "seise" turned guitar player, Paulino Céspedes (Eduardo Fajardo), loses his wife, singer Gloria Mairena (Juanita Reina) after only two years of marriage, leaving him deeply saddened and with a baby daughter.
