Leave your thoughts about Global Haywire.
User Reviewrachel Ai watched this at the dungog film festival it rocks so much
User ReviewAnn SInnovative, intelligent and witty, this documentary offers a bracing critique of the dominant narratives of a civilizational conflict and the war on terror and sets the presents East-West impasse in its historical context. Through allusion and allegory the cast comprising of cartoons and caricatures is joined by the real life voices of students and intellectuals to address issues in all their complexity. While it effectively employs humour to drive the narrative, the film doesn't reach for easy answers or lulls the audience with false resolution. Instead it leaves the viewer with a head full of ideas to ponder on.
User ReviewCam BWhether one agrees with the political views posed by Petty in 'Global Haywire' is irrelevant. That one watches the film and engages in discussion about the ways-of-the-world afterwards is what matters. Hence, the fact that I am the first reviewer of this film on Flixster is a deadset shame.
User ReviewMeredith Wdoco, animation, stills, interviews and old film footage used to talk about the global apparatus that affects us all. Interesting, especially glad I got to hear Bruce Petty talk about it afterwards.
User ReviewTom DDumb, d-dumb dumb dumb. This quasi-documentary attempts to explain almost everything and leaves the viewer with almost nothing.
