Full Plot Details

A dentist teams up with a feisty would-be assassin to put the final touches on the plan to kill his wife. Once he makes a play for the assassin's payment, he unknowingly sets off a chain of events that fuels a cross-town journey through the many lounges, bars, strip clubs and the occasional nudist ping pong club scattered across Los Angeles. Along the way, we are introduced to a series of idiosyncratic characters, from gangsters to exotic dancers, from ex-cons to cops, with the odd hatcheck girl and bartender thrown in for good measure.

I can't believe it's rated so low here. Great well known actors, well written darkly funny script abet murky in some areas. But definitely a movie I'd see again!

Human kind is accurately observed and eccentricities highlighted. A very entertaining hour and twenty minutes in the company of fine actors enjoying themselves. Would recommend this movie to any adult wanting escape from soaps and 'blockbusters'.

Smart, witty, funny, fast paced, with some exaggerated american scenes and, most importantly, a cast of millions, it made me laugh and have those awkward moments when something so embarrassing happens to characters that you feel embarrassed yourself.
