Leave your thoughts about Girl on a Bicycle.
Detroit NewsTom LongStupidity is an international condition. How reassuring.
Movie MezzanineAmir SoltaniFrom the opening scene, Girl on a Bicycle falls into an unfortunate trap it can never quite escape from: its humor feels entirely forced and predominantly based on national stereotypes.
Village VoiceSam WeisbergGirl on a Bicycle is like Micki + Maude minus the outrage, complexity, or crack timing.
The DissolveMike D'AngeloThe movie’s ludicrous narrative continually forces its characters to behave like cretins, and even when Leven’s dialogue is tolerable, it can barely be heard over Craig Richey’s aggressively sprightly score.
San Diego Union-TribuneAnders WrightThe story and the circumstances are goofy enough to have been taken from an episode of "Three's Company."
Slant MagazineWes GreeneThe film turns the miscommunication between cultures into an utterly lifeless romantic comedy best appreciated as a travel guide for first-time tourists to Paris.
Los Angeles TimesSheri LindenJeremy Leven's attempt at old-school romantic comedy, set in a postcard-pretty tourist's vision of Paris, is more of a foolish plod than a weightless rollick.
RogerEbert.comOdie HendersonThe word convoluted does no justice to just how poorly designed Girl on a Bicycle is. It is also stereotypical, unfunny, unromantic, absurd, sitcomish, insulting to several European ethnicities and a slave to what Roger Ebert used to call "The Idiot Plot Syndrome."
User ReviewKenneth HFunny, sweet. Not since zombieland have i seen a better film that encapsolates all that is good about a sham holiday. Love is beautiful!
User ReviewMelinda PIn an age of cynical, dark movies comes this wonderful breath of fresh air. The movie was a hit with our entire family--even the tween allowed to view it. The colorful views of Paris gave the film that perfect summer movie feel and the plot, never meant to be taken seriously, was an enjoyable ride.
