User ReviewJeff KWell, my cousin wrote this short, so is it any wonder I would give it 5 stars? This short is an absolute must-see for any Star Wars fans. Quite frankly, it's a must-see for non-Star Wars fans, too. Inspired by Shakespeare In Love, this parody is the story of a young George Lucas in film school, struggling through an episode of writer's block. He is surrounded by inspiration - from a faculty advisor reminiscent of Yoda to a disturbing picnic scene reminiscent of Jabba the Hutt - but fails to notice any of it. Until he meets her, of course. His muse. His inspiration. It is at that moment that he sees the world as a place or promise, all barriers break down, and he is finally able to write his masterpiece. All inspired by his beautiful companion. But love is never so easy, as we learn at the end of the short. Don't forget to stick around for the credits, as we see a supposed inspiration for another Lucas favorite.

User ReviewShawn Every, very funny. Great for any fan of Star Wars
User Reviewc dThe funniest and most well-acted and directed of all the Star Wars fan films, this film manages to spoof the entire original saga plus Shakespeare in Love in just under 7 minutes. Joe Nussbaum got noticed by Hollywood for this--sort of--but since then he's been stuck slumming it in lame teen comedies. Let's hope he gets a real breakthrough soon.
User ReviewArt HExceptionally witty parody of "Shakespeare in Love" that has George Lucas struggling to complete his "Star Wars" script in order to pass his film class at USC. After meeting and falling in love with Marion, a fan of his earlier student films, he takes her advice and finishes the screenplay by "writing what he knows". Throughout the course of the film we get to see George's REAL inspirations for all our favorite Star Wars characters and plot twists, and the audience even gets the inside scoop on what motivated Lucas to executive produce "Howard the Duck"! This is certainly one of the best (short) spoof films ever.
User ReviewHawk LIf Mr. Lucas can laugh at it, so must we!
