Flight No. SK 957, Star Jet bound for Delhi is set to take off from Chennai on a Monday morning. Terrorists in a team of five, disguised as passengers take over the Star jet flight, supposedly to effect the release of their leader, Yusuf Khan. | User ReviewFacebook UI really liked Payanam because it was totally different than the usual Kollywood/Tollywood movies. Payanam is about a plane hijacking incident and that is a theme which you rarely see in Tamil/Telugu movies.The movie had the action and the thrill. I also liked the cast a lot, I think that all of them did a good job. It's a pity that you don't get to see a lot of action from Nagarjuna though. Another good thing about this movie is that there are no songs, no love clichés and the typical fights. |
| User ReviewMurali RDifferent theme for a Tamil movie, excellent screen play and sequences. Very good acting by all except the main villain. He was using the flight deck as if he walked on a ramp, he should have had more agreessive dialogues and delivery. Second half is even more better than the first. Littlebit of richness would have added value to a hijack movie. Only slip I feel is unnecessary comedy dialogues between the "Actor" and his "fan". Songs would be odd n this movie, so is a comedy sequence. We want movies with a diffrence and PAYANAM is one such trend setters |
