Realizing the error of their ways, researchers begin developing a cure for the devastation. As civilization decays, the definitions of wealth and power begin to change. The most valuable commodity on the planet is Narcissus, the cure. Whoever has the cure has control. Whoever has the cure becomes the target. Betrayal runs rampant as the scientists try to deliver Narcissus to the people. It finds it's way into the hands of Reynaldo who has made deals and double-crossed former friends to get himself and the cure to the safe zone. With the reluctant help of Aurelia, Reynaldo is in a race against time. Narcissus is highly unstable and the research lives or dies with the only batch of the cure.
