Reel.comJim HemphillPerfectly serviceable middle of the road comedy.
FulvueDrive-in.comChuck O'LearyAn old-fashioned screwball farce with a few amusing moments, just not enough of them.
eFilmCritic.comDavid CorneliusWelcome, Mr. Chase, to the absolute bottom of your career.
User ReviewLouis RThe funniest movie I've seen in years. No fancy effects or dull one-liners to make this movie something to see.
User ReviewAndy FThis is quite possibly my favorite Chevy Chase movie. Yes I'm including Three Amigo's, and Christmas Vacation, among others.
User ReviewR HThis was so funny, I almost couldn't stop laughing. Kudos to Chevy Chase on a great comeback.
User ReviewBenReally funny and great to see Chevy Chase in a leading role again! Shame it doesn't seem to be coming out in the cinema here though. :( (I watched a DVD.)
User ReviewElsa BThis movie made me laugh hysterically once the scene shifted to Chevy Chase's home. Yes, it is formulaic in its setups, as were classic stage comedies in the 1700s, but the rampant absurdity and high anxiety remind me of the best of the English hit series, "Fawlty Towers". The very basic ingredients of stress and ad-libbing names and relationships to avoid being caught in a lie, combined with the fear of being "rubbed out" by gangsters is spoofy, reliable entertainment and some films should have this goal in mind.
