| User ReviewGreg WThe gags at this stage are rudimentary - Ollie holding a cream-covered gateau approaching a banana skin that has no diegetic business being there - with flickers of sophistication, and an emerging worldview: inevitably, the same banana skin reappears on the other side of the dining table in time for Stan to be carrying a tureen of soap - and then again as Ollie retrieves the no less creamy back-up gateau from the kitchen. If it's not your head you have to worry about within this universe, it's your feet, for there is always something to trip you up; in this context, the motto observed on the duo's calling card - "All we ask is a chance" - becomes doubly resonant. |
