Leave your thoughts about FleshEater: Revenge of the Living Dead.
DVDTalk.comBill GibronLike a nasty nostalgia trip back in gut munching time, FleshEater is so reminiscent of the period in which it was made that it should come with a Kajagoogoo picture disc import 45
User ReviewPrivate UThe basic feel of this movie kinda reminded me of SLiTHER...almost. You'd have to watch it to judge for yourself, but some parts are very similar. Starts off like Evil Dead, bunch of couple heading to the woods for beer and sex...or sex and beer, either way sounds like a plan. It then seems to focus more on the swath of blood and gore one particular zombie leaves as he wanders about a small town and two of the original characters try to get to safety. And it would appear this zombie is supposed to be the same zombie we first see in Night of the Living Dead. Otherwise some pointless T&A, at one point a girl strips down to have a shower, but for some reason spends about a minute doing her hair before actually stepping into the shower...? Not that I'm complaining, but doesn't that seem odd? Overall a decent low-budget zombie flick, could've been a little more over-the-top, probably would've helped. It'd make a great MST movie.
User ReviewJamie SThe best Zombie flick out of the two Zombie Packs for sure.

User ReviewAlexander PA surprisingly good, low budget zombie flick. Its either a sequel or remake of "Night of the living dead' done in color with an upbeat 80s look. Sure the dialogue and acting were horrible but the zombies were pretty outstanding. worth the look.
User ReviewDan HThis movie is basically Night of The Living Dead made in the eighties. The acting is horrible, not one cast member does a good job, the plot is predictable but that's what makes an eighties movie. Bill Hinzmann (Cemetery Zombie from NOTLD) produces, directs, and acts in this fun zombie movie. He plays the Flesh Eater who starts the whole zombie plague when some ignorant redneck digs up his grave. He then procedes to kill rednecks and many a teenager in viscious ways. To tell the truth this film had some amazing gore effects. A girl's heart is ripped out, Hinzmann pushes his hand through the torso of an unsuspecting victim, along with many amazing headshot sequences. This is one of the goriest zombie movies I've seen next to Dawn of the Dead and Fulci's "Zombi" flicks. The blod starts flowing across the screen ten minutes into the movie and it is quite entertaining to see these characters get killed off in a variety of ways. I still think the plot was alot more effective in Night of The Living Dead but Hinzmann did an exceptional job directing this. Fans of low budget horror will love this and hardcore fans of Romero's masterpiece will hate it but thinking of this as a remake of NOTLD might help. All in all, i recommend this to any gore fan, zombie fan, and cheap eighties movie fan because it's a great installment in low budget filmaking.
User ReviewDwayne HThe greatest film in the world. Gratuitous nudity, over the top blood and gore, terrible acting, grainy film stock, awful script.....Wheres the Oscars?!???!
User ReviewKyle KI love this movie even though it pales in comparison to anything Romero. I met Bill Hinzman on Sunday and he still looks great.
User ReviewSarah EGory, fun low-budget 80's Zombie flick. If you go in with the right mindset, you'll love it.
User ReviewBrian Cthis is a braindead, yet fun, low budget zombie film from the late '80s. not much of a plot but plenty of cool gore to keep you entertained for the duration of the film. and the effects aren't half bad either.
